Lil Wayne is Recovering From Elbow Surgery in Miami Hospital
Lil Wayne has had a tough year. The New Orleans born rapper has been named in a number of lawsuits over failure to pay bills for pyrotechnics, private jets and more. Further, he is embroiled in a deeply personal lawsuit with his former mentor and label head Birdman. The rapper is seeking $51 million in damages and withheld compensation. The lawsuit has created tensions between Cash Money artists like Young Thug and artists on Lil Wayne's Young Money imprint like Drake and Tyga, and has delayed the release of Lil Wayne's upcoming album Tha Carter V. It
appears, only adding to his troubles, Lil Wayne had to have surgery on
his elbow. However, he is successfully recovering from the surgery now,
and seems to be in good spirits. After waking up from anesthesia, Wayne tweeted,
"Much luv [to] Dr. Kaplan [and] his team at Univ. of Miami hospital for
a successful (elbow) surgery. [And] dey had me on the tunes during
surgery... dope!"
Davido Journalists barred from divorce proceedings of singer's father
Justice A. O. Oguntade, of the Osun State High Court, Ede, on Thursday
barred journalists from covering the divorce proceedings involving
millionaire businessman, Deji Adeleke, and his estranged wife, Teju.
Deji Adeleke, Chancellor of the Adeleke University, and the father of popular artiste, Davido was present in court on Thursday 19th of November but the estranged wife was not in court when journalists were chased out.
Oguntade, the presiding Judge, had on Monday, November 16, prevented journalists who were present at the court by chasing them out of the court room.
The judge again on Thursday asked journalists present in the courtroom to go out before the proceedings started.
On entering the court, Oguntade said, “Journalists present in this court should go out. I repeat, journalists present in this court should go out now.”
The judge asked his orderly to escort the journalists out and the orderly relayed the order to the senior police officer, Adeoye Yekinin, who led a team of armed policemen deployed in the court for the divorce case.
The police officer, however, was polite in carrying out the order as he pleaded with the two journalists including our correspondent to vacate the court, The Punch reports.
The armed policemen waited patiently for the journalists to leave before they returned to the entrance of the court.

I Don't Sing Because I Want Awards, Nominations - WizKid
In a recent interview with The Fada, an American music magazine,
Wizkid spoke about his career thus far, answering questions hovering
around his awards, his recent hit song Ojuelegba and his upcoming album –
Sounds From The Other Side.
Speaking about being nominated for Best African Act, following the success of his hit single Ojuelegba, as well as a remix version by Drake and Skepta, he said:
“My real fans know I am not really about that kind of thing.
“That was not the reason why I fell in love with music.”
“I knew it was a good song."
He further said: “But I didn’t expect it to blow up the way that it did.”
While speaking about the song title, which shares the same name with a popular Lagos suburb Ojuelegba, he disclosed that his parents still lives there.
“My parents still live there. We have a house there,” he said.

Happy Birthday, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan!
Happy Birthday! Last year it was celebrated in Aso Rock and now you probably have it in your Otuoke home; no condition is permanent. Power is transient and highly ephemeral. The last one must have been very noisy as so many well-wishers and favour-seekers would have come with various gifts and cards so much that you would not have space to place them. Four years ago when I was invited to your birthday at a time you turned 54, I gave you the best gift ever, THE GOLDEN JUBILEE BIBLE, though it may look insignificant before the ordinary eye. I was then the chairman of 400 Years of King James Bible Celebration.
I have been one of your most ardent admirers. I actually campaigned for you pro bono to become the President in 2011 among the elites who I was in contact with and my staff in office because an educated middle aged man (just seven months plus older than me) would be ruling Nigeria. If it was element of good luck that made you succeed President Musa Yar’Adua, it was our votes that brought you in 2011, not rigging. But what did you make of our mandate? You did not want to offend people and step on bad toes. You even said that you were not a military president like Obasanjo, when you were reacting to the latter’s advice on Boko Haram menace that was just rearing its ugly head then. I wept. I wept because you forgot that you were not only President of Nigeria but also the Commander-In-Chief of the armed forces. It then reminded me of the submission of John Maxwell that, Good luck can place you in a position of authority but competence will keep you there. You were not bold enough to face those who said that they would make the country ungovernable for you. Boko Haram tested waters and saw that it was a conducive atmosphere to grow until they took away the Chibok girls. Your wife responded with ‘Na only you waka come, Chai, Chai, dia is God o’, shedding crocodile tears in the fashion of an amateur Nollywood actress, oblivious of the international media that graced the conference.
President Buhari is a dictator, Fayose tells Sultan of Sokoto
The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, on Friday told the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’Ad Abubakar, that President Muhamadu Buhari is a dictator.
Mr. Fayose, who was delivering an address to the visiting monarch in Ado Ekiti, said by choosing which court orders to obey, the President had demonstrated disrespect to the judiciary.
“I take the opportunity of your visit to bare my mind on some national concerns, particularly as it affects the unlawful incarceration of the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd),” the governor said.
“President Buhari has proved me right by my claims before the election that Nigeria is in the making of a dictator if he is voted into power.
